James Wang
James is a General Partner at Creative Ventures, an early stage VC focusing on AI, healthcare, agriculture, and industrial technologies and a Co-Founder/CTO of Lioness Health. Previously he was on the core investment team at Bridgewater Associates, founded a non-profit consulting firm specializing in microfinance, and did a stint at Google X’s Makani project.
He’s the writer of Weighty Thoughts and is the author of “What You Need to Know About AI”, coming out in late fall 2025. James has an MBA from Berkeley, an MS in Computer Science (Machine Learning), and completed the course track for the PhD Designated Emphasis in Computer Sciences and Engineering program at UC Berkeley.
Chidi Nwankpa
Dr. Chidi Nwankpa is a Principal at Gore Range Capital, where she focuses on investing in healthcare and life science companies. She is also a Co-Founder of GlobalHealth AI, a public health AI company, where she pioneers the integration of AI into healthcare solutions with a focus on underserved populations.
With a multidisciplinary background in healthcare, business, and AI, Dr. Nwankpa is deeply committed to leveraging innovative technologies to address critical global health challenges. She received her MD degree from the University of Benin and her MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Sergei Polevikov
Sergei Polevikov is a Ph.D.-trained data scientist, AI entrepreneur, economist, and quant investor with over 30 academic manuscripts. As the author of the popular Substack newsletter “AI Health Uncut,” he provides brutally honest insights from his experiences as a healthcare AI startup founder, WellAI, and private equity investor.
Sergei has spearheaded significant AI projects, including developing an AI-assisted Digital Front Door ecosystem for clinics and a pioneering COVID-19 application for clinical researchers. He is an active member of the IFCC’s AI and Genomic Diagnostics International Working Group (WG-AIGD) and a peer reviewer for Springer Nature. Currently, Sergei focuses on AI’s role in clinical practice, diagnostics, primary care, and ethical standards in healthcare.
Kartik Tiwari
Kartik Tiwari is a roboticist and a three-time founder of companies working on hard problems from self-driving trucks to autonomous robotic surgery. He was CTO and co-founder of Starsky Robotics, an autonomous driving platform, and is currently co-founder and CTO of Andromeda Surgical. He has close to a decade experience working at the intersection of AI and safety critical applications.
